Party Hire Terms & Conditions of Use
1. Bookings are secured with a deposit of £25. Bookings must be made at least one month prior to the date of the party, and full payment MUST be made at least two weeks before the party. The deposit is non-refundable. Payment of the balance can be made by BACs using the details below. Please ensure you put your name as the reference.

2. The hirer shall not use the premises or permit the premises to be used for any other purpose, other than for the purpose or purposes specified in the contract. The hirer will be responsible for the conduct and behaviour of all people attending their event. The hirer has 15 minutes prior to the party for set up and 15 minutes following the party for tidying up. All party bookings are 1pm until 3pm. Any extra time required will be charged at £7.50 per 15 minutes.
3. The hirer is not allowed the use of party cannons, confetti, glue or glitter in the main hall. All rubbish to be removed by The Hirer, black bags can be provided for this purpose by The Steading but these must be taken away with you.
4. Respectful Music Levels – Music must be kept at a reasonable volume to ensure a pleasant environment for other patrons and staff at The Steading.
5. The hirer will use The Steading at their own risk and Rosewell Development Trust (RDT) shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to belongings or persons while using The Steading community hub facility or while using the attached car park.
6. The user shall take good care of, and shall not cause any damage or permit any damage to be done to the room in use or any part of the fixtures, fittings of The Steading and any RDT equipment provided during use/hire and any damage will be made good by RDT at the cost to the hirer. The hirer shall inform the RDT Manager of any such damage as soon as practical and the hirer shall confirm it in writing within 24 hours of its discovery.
7. Any payment for the hire of rooms in The Steading will be agreed prior to hire and should be paid in full prior to the use of the room hired.
8. The hirer shall be responsible for the efficient supervision of the room being used, including the orderly and safe admission and departure of persons to and from The Steading building.
9. No alterations or additions to the room in use, the fixtures, fittings, shall be carried out.
10. No nails or fixing of any kind shall be driven or put into any table, seats, wall, pillar or roof of ‘The Steading’ Building. Only Blu Tack to be used – no Sellotape.
11. The use of bouncy castles is strictly limited to low roofed castles with a max. height of 2.3 metres. Our bouncy castle provider, The Bouncy Castle Man, is preferred however if you wish to use another company you must provide a copy of their insurance certification on booking. If your booked bouncy castle is larger than 2.3 metres it will not be allowed to be inflated in the hall and the hirer will be responsible for any costs incurred.
12. Alcohol shall not be consumed within ‘The Steading’ building unless for a pre-agreed function and with the proper licences being obtained in advance.
13. The hirer shall not assign or sub-let any interest in The Steading or any part of it and shall not use The Steading for any other purpose than that set out in the contract.
14. The Hirer will abide by and follow all of the Steading Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
