Scope
Applies to all public bookings at The Steading, including classes, courses, events and play sessions.
Key points (summary)
- Refunds are not offered unless we cancel the session or event.
- Soft Play and Sensory Room bookings may be rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
- Sessions end at the booked finish time.
- Capacities: Soft Play up to 6 children per session. Sensory Room up to 4 users if one or more users are over 5 years, or up to 6 users if all are 0-5 years. Adult/carer numbers may be limited to one per child/user if at capacity.
- An adult must remain for soft play, sensory room and baby/toddler groups. Child drop-off is permitted for after-school and holiday sessions only.
- The Steading is wheelchair accessible.
- Contract formation
A contract is formed when we issue your booking confirmation email.
- Prices and VAT
Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable. If VAT applies, it is included in the price shown at checkout.
- Payment
Payment is taken at booking by card via Stripe. Card details are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Booking rules and capacities
4.1 Capacity, age limits and any session-specific rules are stated on each booking page.
4.2 Soft Play: For ages 0-5 years only. Maximum 6 children per session. If at capacity, we may limit to one accompanying adult per child.
4.3 Sensory Room: Maximum 4 users if one or more users are over 5 years; maximum 6 users if all are 0-5 years. If at capacity, we may limit to one carer/accompanying adult per user.
- Cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling (you)
5.1 Refunds: None, unless we cancel under clause 6.
5.2 Rescheduling: Soft Play and Sensory Room bookings may be moved to a new date/time with more than 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
5.3 No-shows and non-attendance are treated as attended. No refund or additional time.
- Cancellations and changes (us)
6.1 We may cancel or materially change a session for operational or safety reasons. You may choose a transfer to another date/time or a refund of the price paid.
6.2 We may adjust times where needed.
- Attendance, timing, and conduct
7.1 All sessions end at the booked finish time.
7.2 Follow staff instructions and venue rules. We may refuse participation or remove anyone acting unsafely or abusively. No refund if removed.
- Children, supervision, and safeguarding
8.1 Drop-off is only permitted for after-school or holiday clubs.
8.2 For soft play, sensory room and baby/toddler groups, a responsible adult must remain and supervise at all times.
- Health, safety, and accessibility
9.1 No health declaration required, however tell staff about any relevant needs before participating.
9.2 The Steading is wheelchair accessible. Contact us if you require adjustments.
- Photography and filming
No photography or filming of sessions or participants without prior consent. For minors, consent must come from a parent or legal guardian.
- Personal property
You are responsible for your belongings. We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property, except where caused by our negligence.
- Force majeure
We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example severe weather, utility outages, or industrial action). If an event cannot proceed, clause 6 applies.
- Data protection and payments
We process personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Card payments are handled by Stripe; card details do not reach our servers.

- Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
