Celebrate Christmas in Rosewell

A Christmas market, live music, the village lights and a visit from Santa – there’s plenty to look forward to in Rosewell this festive season.

Celebrations get underway on Sunday 29 November, with the SHS Events Christmas Market and our Christmas lights switch-on. There’s also a drawing competition giving one local child the chance to switch on the lights, and bookings are now open for Santa’s Grotto at The Steading.

Christmas Drawing Competition

How would your child like to switch on Rosewell’s Christmas lights?

Our Christmas drawing competition is open to all primary school ages, with a special prize – the winning entrant will help light up the village at this year’s switch-on.

Get the pencils, pens or paints out and let their festive imagination take over!

Please write your child’s name and age, along with a parent or carer’s name and contact number, on the back of the drawing. Submit entries by Wednesday 18 November.

  • Entry deadline: Monday 16 November.
  • Winner announced: Sunday 22 November.
  • Prize: Switch on Rosewell’s Christmas lights on Sunday 29 November.
