Our Soft Play Room
Step into a bright, colourful room designed for babies, toddlers and under-5s. Soft mats, foam shapes, padded blocks and a small ball pit create a safe, cushioned space for climbing, crawling, balancing and imaginative play. The layout is open and easy to supervise, with plenty of floor space for little ones to explore at their own pace.
It’s ideal for rainy-day energy bursts, meet-ups with friends, or a quick play session before or after other activities. You can choose between shared sessions for a sociable vibe or exclusive use if you prefer the room to yourselves.
The soft play is on one level within The Steading, with step-free access, nearby accessible toilets, baby change area and space for buggies outside.
Advance booking isn’t essential as drop-ins are also welcome, but it is recommended at busy times as space can’t be guaranteed.
Maximum of 6 children in the room at one time.
When the room is full, we may need to limit adults to one per child for safety and comfort.
Shared Use
- £4 per child
- Maximum of 6 children per session
- Sessions may include a mix of ages (babies to 5 years)
- 1 hour session
Exclusive Use
- £8 per session (includes up to 2 children)
- Add extra children at £4 each (up to 6 children total)
- Exclusive use of the room for your group only
- 1 hour session

Supervision – children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Shoes off – socks must be worn at all times.
No food or drink in the play room.
Age limit – suitable for babies and children up to 5 years.
No rough play – please respect other users.
Ball pit – return balls to ball pit after use
Toys stay inside – equipment must not be removed from the room.
