A New Chapter for Children’s Activities at The Steading
With the schools now back, we know families may be wondering when Lego Club, RASCALS Art Club, Friday Fun, Chess Club, Chatter & Clatter and our other children’s activities will be starting again.
Our previous programme is currently on hold while we recruit a new Community Activities Coordinator. This means the former clubs are not restarting for the new term at present.
Saying goodbye to Lorna
As we bring the previous programme to a close, we also want to say a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to Lorna, who led our children’s groups at The Steading.
Lorna created many fun, welcoming and creative opportunities for local children to get involved, try new things and spend time together. She will be very much missed by everyone at The Steading, as well as the children and families who took part in her activities.
Thank you, Lorna, for everything you have brought to The Steading. We wish you all the very best for what comes next.
Looking ahead to something new
Once appointed, our new Community Activities Coordinator will have the opportunity to develop a fresh programme based on the interests and needs of local children and families.
The programme may therefore look different from what we have offered previously. It could include completely new activities and different types of sessions. Some familiar activities may return, but we cannot confirm which groups will be included at this stage.
We are looking forward to seeing what comes next and hope to have an exciting new range of activities to share in due course.
Keep an eye out for updates
As soon as new activities and dates are confirmed, we will announce them on our website and social media pages.
Please look out for further updates.
